Courses take place at our boutique in Kingly Court, off Carnaby Street, London (unless stated otherwise). We run classes for all levels from beginners to advanced, deploying a wide variety of techniques and approaches.

Bridget Bailey’s Masterclass: Fabulous Fabric Flowers £130
Saturday 29th September 2012 (10am-4pm)
LEVEL: ALL
Learn Bailey Tomlin’s specialist techniques for making realistic flowers. Bridget has some clever and original ways of transforming familiar materials and giving them a fresh lease of life. The techniques covered include:
- Making embossing plates for petals
- Wiring and shaping petals
- Making a flower centre
- Constructing a flower
This is a great way to use lovely bits of left over fabric without special tools and heaters… Great for fascinators or trimming for hats. This class covers a wide range of techniques and all materials are provided. You will leave with the skill and understanding to practise further at home or in your own studio.

Feathers: Cut, Curl & Create: (Level: From Beginner) £75
Sunday 16th September (11-2pm)
In three hours you will learn how to get the better of feathers: trim them into shape, strip them bare, curl them into submission and bind them together to create an impressive mount. No sewing involved in this class.

Structured Sinamay £85 (Level: From Intermediate)
Saturday 3rd November (10-3pm)
For those already familiar with sinamay strips and loops and looking for new ways to work with the material, Amy will help you to block a simple shape, wire and edge with binding (also made on the course) and explore different ways of wearing and trimming the same piece. Good hand sewing skills required.

Fascinator Recipe: (Level: From Beginner) £50 plus materials at 20% off

Learn how to make fascinators from Atelier’s ‘Recipe Book’. You’ve seen Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham and the Duchess of Cambridge wearing them, now create your own gorgeous fascinators. We provide the ‘recipe’ so you can choose your own materials with a special Atelier Millinery discount of 20%. We demonstrate the techniques then help you to put them together in your own style. Hand sewing skills required. Allow from £15 for materials.

Birdcage Veiling £80

Who can resist the instant glamour of veiling? Create the Hollywood film star look with our help. This can be made as a bridal headpiece or choose from our collection of veiling in a range of colours to suit other occasions. Wear your finished piece to the supermarket if you dare and send us the photo!

Felt Cloche Hat in a Day (Level: From Intermediate) £130
Saturday 13th October (10-5pm)
Saturday 24th November (10-5pm)
Learn how to make a simple yet stylish cloche hat from felt using traditional blocking and construction skills, followed by simple trimming techniques. The course introduces the technical know-how needed for blocking and shaping felt plus wiring and attaching trims. You will leave with your finished hat at the end of the day and the know-how to carry on practising and making in your own style.
Good machine and hand sewing skills required.

Clutch Bag (Level: From Beginner) £70
Saturday 6th October (11am-2pm)
Clutch bags are always in fashion for day and evening. Choose from our selection of fabrics including vintage pieces and make your own stylish clutch. The pattern is provided for you to continue to practise the techniques at home. Machine sewing skills required.

Beaded Headdress (Level: From Beginner) £80.00
Saturday 8th December (11am-2pm)
Description: Make your own bridal or special occasion headress using finest Swarovski pearls and diamanté chatons. It’s easier than it looks with expert help and with minimal use of tools. All materials, equipment and packaging provided. You will leave with the skills to carry on practising at home and working on your own designs.
